Professional business network will be supporting Enterprise Zone at The Royal County of Berkshire Show

The Newbury & District Agricultural Society are proud to announce that Enterprise Nation is sponsoring the Enterprise Zone at the Royal County of Berkshire Show 2019.

The Enterprise Zone was first launched at the Show in 2018, with a number of small businesses taking advantage of the 60,000-strong visitors to showcase their product to. Now returning this September, bigger and better, we now welcome Enterprise Nation as 2019 sponsor.

Enterprise Nation is a small business support network and business support provider. Its aim is to help people turn their good ideas into great businesses – through expert advice, events, acceleration, diagnostics and networking.

Enterprise Nation was founded in 2005 by Emma Jones MBE, also co-founder of national enterprise campaign StartUp Britain. She is author of best-selling business books including Spare Room Startup, Working 5 to 9, Go Global, Start a Business for £99 and the StartUp Kit, Going for Growth. In 2017 the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales (ICAEW) announced it was to collaborate with Enterprise Nation to start building a world-leading adviser platform. In 2018, Richard Harpin, the entrepreneur behind global home emergency repair firm HomeServe, invested in the company as part of a drive to create a ‘more entrepreneurial Britain.’

Emma Jones, founder small business support network, Enterprise Nation, said: "We're delighted to be able to support all the entrepreneurs exhibiting in the Enterprise Zone at the Royal County of Berkshire Show.

"The number of people starting a business in the UK are at record levels. It's events like these that help to showcase the fabulous businesses being started, particularly in the food and drink and farming sectors, but also point those businesses towards the kind of support that can take them to the next level."

The Enterprise Zone is open to businesses that have been trading for less than 2 years, be a new business and located within the county of Berkshire, Thames Valley, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Surrey.

Jim Chetwode, Sales & Business Development for the Royal County of Berkshire Show comments, “This is a great opportunity for start-up businesses in the local area to showcase their wares. Partnering with Enterprise Nation means we can get this out to a far wider audience of entrepreneurs who may now use the Show as their first step to growth.”

This year, we are offering six businesses the chance to have a free stand at the Show. But don’t worry if you’re not a lucky winner, businesses can still book a stand at a reduced rate.
